Our staff hopes parents, alumni, and students will find the information this web site contains to be very useful and the links that it features will be easy to navigate. Some of its content is updated every day. Email addresses for teachers are provided. The links provide immediate access to things like the alumni association, annual publications, and our newsletter. The site is maintained by all who contribute to it, by students who learn about web sites through this experience, and by one dedicated staff member who does most of this work after hours and/or during his free time. This individual is Mr. Norm Whittle, a teacher at the attached Windham Regional Career Center. We are all very appreciative of his efforts.
Brattleboro Union High School is a comprehensive high school. We have over a thousand students organized into three administrative houses. These houses have approximately 350 students each and are managed by an assistant principal for that house. Students and parents generally have one place to go for all questions and services. Each assistant principal's office is also staffed by an administrative assistant whose many tasks include facilitating important and effective communication between home and school.
Course offerings are extensive in this school and the attached career center offers students still more choices and valuable experiences. These curricular choices are available for your review through the link to our Program of Studies. Extracurricular activities are also numerous and varied, offering students significant ways to develop and showcase their emerging talents and to represent BUHS and wear its proud colors on our athletic teams.
I hope you will explore this web site fully or will find helpful ways to use even one part of it on a regular basis. We are proud of this school, the achievements of our students, and the many contributions our staff regularly makes to provide a challenging educational experience for all of our students. Suggestions and comments on the content of this web site are always welcome.
